Note:  The following solution has been provided by Digiflex Technical support.

                                                            (Ph: 02 -9741 7000)

Digiflex make and administer the Solutionlink software.

It appears that if you are using Solutionlink and also WIN-11 that since recent OS upgrades some users will be seeing ODBC errors.

  • What will I see?

We are aware of 2 possible error pop-up's that may be generated.

Possible error 1:

popup dialog ‘Microsoft ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server’

  • Why is this happening?

Because Microsoft in Windows 11 removed ODBC V17 from the default installation files.

  • What do I need to do to try and fix this?

1 – Go to URL: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-gb/sql/connect/odbc/download-odbc-driver-for-sql-server?view=sql-server-ver16

2 – On this web site scroll down to Download Microsoft ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server (x64) link and download. It MUST be x64

3 – The ‘Microsoft ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server’ dialog has a browse button, press browse button and

go to the downloads folder where you downloaded the odbc driver, it is typically called: ‘msodbcsql.msi’’.

4 – Press OK – The installation will pick up the ODBC driver and complete the installation of SQL.

Possible error 2:

popup dialog " sector size issues"

This will require speaking to their Software Engineer as to resolve requires registry editing etc.
