Regarding the compliance of Bosch intrusion panels to Australian Standard 2201 (and its derivatives), the following information needs to be considered.
AS2201 covers the complete installation of a monitored security system, and compliance with the standard requires proper adherence to:
- Cabling (type of cable, and compliance with cabling standards)
- Components that exist outside of the base panel (sirens, strobes, etc.)
- Installation environment (location, access to the panel, etc.)
- Panel programming options (reporting, control of external notification devices, etc.)
Resilience of the reporting methodology (up-time, report rate, etc.)
It is therefore not possible to state that an intrusion panel is AS2201 certified at a manufacturing level.
However, Bosch Intrusion panels ( for example the Solution 2000 /3000 and 6000) are manufactured to comply with the parts of the standard relating to the panel itself, and would be considered compliant when installed in a complete system under the specifications of the standard.
