Line Voltages measured on Digiflex panels

Modified on Wed, 25 Mar, 2020 at 12:52 AM

Prior to NBN, a PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) phone line had a measurable voltage coming down the line from the local Telephone Exchange.

If we used a Multimeter to do so , we would see the following

With the changeover to NBN these voltages either no longer exist or the initial voltage is low due to coming via Electronic Switching equipment, not the Telephone exchange line.

For the Solution 6000 we have a couple of settings we can activate to assist with Alarm transmission via NBN.

We can see these via Installer Codepad Programming and also in the Solutionlink programming software.

In Installation programming through the codepad under Menu 522   Phone Line Options we see:

Digital Line

Low Voltage Line     Note these 2 settings are not enabled by default

In Solutionlink Panel programming  under  Comms  / Properties/ Phone Line Options we see

Digital Line

Low voltage Line  again these 2 are not enabled by default

Latest Panel Firmware V2.30.10 has these settings in panel programming.
