Vera Controller Setup Guide for Solution 2000/3000 (version 2.0)
Currently Vera Controller has two different models: Vera Edge and Vera Plus. This setup guide applies to both of them.
1. Setup Static IP address for IP module(B426-M) or 3G GSM module(B450-M+B443) using A-Link Plus software;
2. Please use Chrome to log in to Vera Controller webpage. (Firefox is not recommended.) Please download the file in the attachment and unzip the files to your local folder. Within the Vera webpage interface, go in to “Apps”-> “Develop apps” ->”Luup files” and upload all of the files to the controller;
3. Find the file L_BoschSolutionAlarmPanel1.lua in your local folder and use Notepad to open it;
4. Click “Apps”-> “Develop apps” -> “Edit Startup Lua” tab and copy the entire contents of L_BoschSolutionAlarmPanel1.lua into the “Edit Startup Lua” field, then click “GO” button;
5. Restart the Vera controller (please unplug the power lead and wait for 5 seconds then plug in the power lead again);
6. Go back in to “Develop apps” and select “Create device”. Enter the following information:
Device Type – Whatever you want the panel to appear as in your device list (ie – “Bosch Alarm”)
Internal ID – A number needs to be entered here, it should have no impact on operation
Description – Once again, whatever you want it described as in the Device List
Upnp Device Filename: D_BoschSolutionAlarmPanel1.xml
Upnp Implementation Filename: I_BoschSolutionAlarmPanel1.xml
IP Address: The internal IP address of the panel’s IP module
MAC: The MAC address for IP module or 3G GPRS module
Room: The room for Bosch Alarm panel. If the room name has already been created.
Then click “Create device” button.
7. Restart the Vera controller again. Click “Devices”. You will see the Alarm Panel we just created and we can Arm/Disarm Bosch Alarm panel and operate the Remote Control Outputs.
Note:
Due to the limitation of Solution 2000/3000 version 2.0, it is not possible to connect both Vera controller and A-Link Plus to the panel at the same time.
