The Solution 4000 supports up to 8 Schedules.

The following is how you would create User Groups and then create Schedules to Allow or Restrict users on the Solution 4000 system.

To program Schedules we must do so in Installer programming with an IUI-SOL-TEXT  Codepad or  using the AlinkPlus software.

What can Schedules do??

We use a Schedule to:

  • Activate a User Group
  • De-activate a User Group

We can also use a Schedule to:

  • Lock a Door            When door is LOCKED to enter a Door you must present a Card or Token at a Door Reader
  • Unlock a Door         When door is UNLOCKED to enter a Door just pull or push it open  No card required.
  • Secure a Door         When a Door is SECURED it cannot be opened unless a key lock is used. Reader locked out

Let's discuss how we use Schedules to control Users

We need to create a Schedule to ALLOW (Activate)  and RESTRICT (De-activate) the system Users as chosen from Arming/ Disarming and entering Doors on site.

The Schedule can also be set to operate or not on a preset HOLIDAY date. (we can set these dates)

  • To control Users we can create User Groups.

User Groups:  We can create up to 8 User Groups

By default NO Users are assigned to a User Group. They will have unrestricted access 24/7.

A User Group can be setup to establish the Times and Days to restrict when a User may interact with the system.

Example:

User 5  (Dave) is assigned to User Group 1 which is set for Mon to Fri  between 08.00 hrs and 16.00 hrs.

This means for Dave his PIN and  Access card will only be recognised for access to the system during these Days and times.

Outside these Days and times he will not be able to gain access or arm/disarm the system

User 10 (Mary) is not assigned to any Access Group and has 24hr / 7 day a week access and control of the system.

  • Let's setup our User Groups first.

So in our User Groups we will select only the people we want to restrict to certain days of the week or times of day

All Users by default are UNRESTRICTED and not assigned to a User Group.

How do we program this using a IUI-SOL-TEXT codepad?

Enter Installer Code (default= 1234) then [#]

Select [8][4]

Select [8][4][2]  User Group  Enter [#]

Select from User Group 1 to 8 then [#]

Now you will see a list of ALL 64 Users , but NONE will be allocated to this User Group

Use  arrows and  [#]  to select each one required

As selected a [TICK] will be applied

Once all required Users are set, Press the [- ] key to exit back

Enter [#] to SAVE when prompted

You have setup your user Groups.

  • Now lets create our Schedules

How do we program this using a IUI-SOL-TEXT codepad?

Enter Installer Code (default= 1234) then [#]

Then [8][4]

Select [8][4][1]  Schedules  Enter [#]

You will see Schedule Names    Use the  [UP] or [DOWN] arrows to select the Schedule you wish to modify then press [#]

The Schedule is Disabled by default

Select 1- ENABLE to activate and then press [#]

You should now see a TICK to show this

Next, select the Schedule Type  [8][4][1] then [#]

Options are:

0- No Schedule (default)

1- Lock Door

2- Unlock Door

3- Secure Door

4-Activate User Group

5-De-Activate User Group

Use arrows to Select required Type  then [#]

Select 4- Activate User Group then [#]

Then Select User Group Number (1 to 8)

Enter Group Number then [#]

We must now set the number of MINUTES  for the Schedule to operate  ( eg: 08.00 to 16.00 = 8hrs =8x60mins = 480)

Hit [*] to clear all values

Enter new value then [#]

Next Select the DAYS of operation

Use the [UP] [DOWN]  and [#] keys  to place a (TICK) on each Day to Activate  Do same to REMOVE

0-Sunday

1-Monday

2-Tuesday

3-Wednesday

4-Thursday

5-Friday

6-Saturday

7-On Date

8-Confirm & Next

Then Select 8-Confirm and Next , Press [#]

Next: We can select to operate on or ignore a Holiday if created

Select and Press [#]

Next we set the TIME our Schedule applies.   Only one (1) time applies per Schedule for User

If in an ACTIVATE Schedule this would be the time Users would be allowed to use PIN or access Doors

If in a De-Activate Schedule, the below would be the time they can no longer use their PIN or access Doors

We would repeat the process to create a De-Activate Schedule
