Setup a DIVAR IP3000 back to Factory Default using the DOM to rebuild the unit.
Preparation
If possible, save the existing BVMS configuration to USB media using Configuration Wizard or Configuration Client.
From Configuration Client, go to System | Export Configuration. Ensure you save the configuration to your USB stick then remove the stick till required later on.
Adding the Configuration file back in is the same, except you choose Import Configuration.
Connect the VGA monitor (1) and network (2) (avoid IP address conflict)
Do not use the DVI, as it does not support booting into DOM within the current versions of this system. For normal Windows usage, to support high-level graphics required for CCTV systems, switch back to DVI.
Connect the USB keyboard and mouse to the USB ports (3). Use the 2 USB ports under the Network port only for this step.
The DOM’ing process
Boot (startup) the system
You have several options to get into the DOM. When you see the Bosch Logo startup, press the <F7> key.
The other keys <DEL> and <F2> will get into the Bios setup menu. Please do not use these unless you need to modify settings.
Initial to Factory Image – Top level will wipe all Operating System (OS) and Video data. Restore to Factory Image – Wipes the OS, but keeps the video data. Note: For this process to be able to recover the system with video data intact, you must be able to reload the saved Config of the unit. Reboot – As it states, reboots the unit and allows the system to back to its normal system, or after an Initial Factory Setup will bring the unit back to its original out of the box state. |
Normally to rebuild the system it is recommended to:
Initial to Factory Image
Reboot.
Depending on system configuration, this may take from 15-45 minutes.
After Reboot, the unit will take you through the Initial Deployment phase, where you will be required to:
Choose your language
Select Regional Settings, i.e. Region, Time & Keyboard Layout.
Check the boxes for accepting the Eula License Agreement
After another short period, you will come up to the login screen where you will be required to put in the default password for the BVRAdmin account (main Windows Administrator account), which is WSS4Bosch.
