Scenario:
Customer has a DOOR that gets unlocked when they initially disarm the system to gain access.
They want the system to UNLOCK this door at 9am Mon to Fri
They want the system to LOCK this door at 5pm Mon to Fri
They do not wish to have to set up HOLIDAYS to operate.
They want the door to lock if the system was armed at any time during the day.
They want the door to NOT unlock on the Schedule if the system is NOT DISARMED.
Solution.
1) Set-up the Door
Menu 420 - we can give the DOOR a NAME (Default = Door 1 Name for DOOR 1)
Menu 612 -Turn OFF Part Arming Allowed (Default =Y)
Menu 613 - Give Reader an AREA ( default = A1)
Menu 614 - Turn ON Reader Area Control (Default = Y) Turn ON Reader Badging ( Default = N)
Menu 617 - Assign a DOOR to the READER (Default = NO DOOR) ONLY a single door can assigned
2) Set-up the Users
Each User MUST be assigned to the DOOR (Menu 145 - default = NO DOORS)
Each User must be allocated a TOKEN (Menu 120 ADD TOKEN)
3) Set up the TIME ZONE to keep the door unlocked
Menu 750 Give Time zone a NAME
Menu 751 Select a time to START and STOP the operation ( We have an ability to set-up 4 different time periods if necessary) Set-up for PERIOD 1
Menu 752 Select the DAYS we want this to operate ( M T W T F )
4) Set-up the OUTPUT that is controlling the DOOR
Menu 411 - Event type = 60 DOOR
Menu 412 - Event Assignment = (this will be the DOOR NUMBER) for example DOOR 1
Menu 413 - Output Polarity = this is how the output will SWITCH when the reader is badged) This will be (OPEN 1 shot LOW) for a Door Strike or LOW -1 shot OPEN for a MAG LOCK.
Menu 414 - TIMEFRAME = this is how long the output will operate for when the door is triggered. (commonly 10 secs)
Menu 422 Door UNLOCK Timezone this is where we set the TIME ZONE we created to UNLOCK the door during the day
Menu 423 Door Options: We must activate HOLD OFF IF AREA ARMED (default = Y) this means if the system is ARMED , the OUTPUT to unlock the door between 0900 and 1700 would not operate and the door stays locked.
