Setting up NTP server for BVMS

Modified on Thu, 17 May, 2018 at 10:39 AM

(1) On the BVMS Server, please go to the following folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Bosch\VMS\bin and find the file BvmsCentralServer.exe.config.

(2) Before doing any modifications, please backup the (BvmsCentralServer.exe.config) file first.

(3) Open the file in Notepad and find the word "time server" (without quotes).

(4) Put the Time server's IP address, in the value="". It will look like below (example the BVMS Server IP address is 192.168.0.254):

<!-- IP address of the time server for VRM/NVR encoders (defaults to the Central-Server IP if not set in this case). --> <add key="TimeServerIPAddress" value="192.168.0.254" />

(5) Go to Services and restart the "Bosch VMS Central Server" process.

(6) In the Configuration Client, choose one of the cameras and change the Camera Name. Once that done you can click on Save and Activate.

(7) Check if the NTP IP address of all the camera has changed to the required Time server IP address.
